Lambeth Readers and Writers Festival
Monday 10 May, 4.30pm at Streatham Library.Sam Osman - 'Quicksilver' (For children 7 to 12 years old)
Dark Powers from the past are searching for three extraordinary children - Wolfie, Tala and Zi'ib were born on the same day on opposite sides of the world. They are brought together by astonishing coincidence - or so it seems. But only they can fulfil an ancient prophecy - and find a treasure of incalculable power.
Join Streatham Chatterbooks Group and author Sam Osman to discuss writing a novel and her latest book
Birmingham Young Readers Festival
Author and storyteller Margaret Bateson-Hill uses songs and rhymes to introduce her delightful picture books to children. Her retelling of the much loved nursery rhymes Five Little Ducks and This Little Piggy encourage counting and observational skills whilst children love to lift the flaps to find out what the animals are really up to. Margaret’s sessions are a firm favourite with teachers, providing plenty of ideas for cross curricula themes and topic work.
Suitable for nursery and reception classes.
